The Yount Seminar covers four important topics related to educational advancement. When the term school or schooling is used it includes formal job training. The following topics are included in the Seminar as well as in the Yount Seminar Participant’s Workbook. The seminar takes about six hours plus outside homework (career assessments, self-assessments and plan preparation). Guidance is included in the seminar workbook. The workbook can be viewed and printed from this website. Registered participants are given a hard copy to work from. Registration takes place through a Yount Fireside or through priesthood leaders.

Who may take the Yount Seminar?
Any LDS Church member who falls under the umbrella of the Yount program may take the Yount Seminar. The benefits are many. For example, most who take the seminar find out that they can finance their education without a loan. Others find the tools and techniques learned to be helpful in other areas of their life.
Mini Grant connection to the Yount Seminar
The first section of the seminar is required if it is available to applicants. Participants will find the entire seminar helpful and it is recommended.
Yount Loan connection to the Yount Seminar
The entire seminar is required but after the first unit much of it can be finished individually. Some results from the seminar are required to complete the applicant’s school plan.
Students with 1+ years of successful schooling need only complete part of the seminar.
